Our Mission

As the Pew Research Center tells us, 72% of all Americans work in a field they don’t like, and in some cases, hate. According to a 2019 Census Bureau study, only 19% of all STEM majors ended up working in a STEM field. Did their passions die out? Were they not good enough for the workforce? The answer is no to both of those questions. Millions of Americans throughout the country, especially within STEM, lack opportunity more than anything else. Nepotism has become an integrated part of the scientific community for adults and students alike. One’s future in the field is largely predetermined with the research and journal opportunities they can obtain through these connections. At Science Chronicles, we hope to empower individuals to pursue their passion in STEM fields through scientific journalism, providing equal opportunity for all. Since our founding in 2023, we have expanded our purview to education, health policy, and more.

It’s clear that not everyone will find the same successes in life. Yet, it is our duty as a scientific society to make sure everyone has equal opportunity to make a name for themselves. Welcome to Science Chronicles, whether you’re a reader or a prospective writer, we welcome you with open arms.
